The new initiative of the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation has been created to fill urgent gaps in women’s health research, an area historically underfunded and sometimes nonexistent.
Our mission is to foster equity in women’s health, close gaps in research today, and connect pathways from lab to life.
The AWHF supports women’s health research undertaken by the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute (WCHRI).
WCHRI facilitates research activities, builds capacity, and catalyzes research innovation and excellence, and supports the development of evidence-informed practices, policies, and protocols in women’s healthcare across Alberta.
Your gift will support more than 140 researchers in women’s health, improving the future health of millions of Albertan women.
